What's included in the rental for wedding?

Private rentals are all outside amenities. Use of the playhouse is an extra charge. 

  • 2500 sq. ft. playhouse 

  • 3 acres of outside grounds

  • Separate kitchen/cookhouse 

  • Outside pavilion 

  • 30 outside picnic tables ( 8' x 24”)

  • Capacity 235 people

  • 250 folding chairs

  • 40 tables inside ( 8' x 24”) 

  • Inside pavilion has bar area with two refrigerators 

  • Stage 

  • Rental hours included are 9am - 11pm all music must end at 10pm (this includes set up and clean up by renters) 

  • Next day clean up is an added extra fee 

  • Sound system inside and outside 

  • Tents by prior approval 

  • Pre-access to facility upon negotiated request as there may be other events prior to your event.  Space is limited

  • Size 35' x 50'

  • Has Isinglass enclosures for inclement weather

Can we bring our own caterer?

  • We provide a terrific list of approved caterers. We also allow outside caterers with Certificate of Insurance, licenses, and a prearranged site visit with our representative.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

  • Yes the Greenwood Garden is a BYOB facility. You must have insurance and or a certified and insured  bartender 

Do we need a wedding coordinator?

  • It's up to you. We provide a list of preferred vendors, or you may hire the coordinator of your choice. A member of our staff is here the day of your event to provide that our facility is in working order and to help with any questions or concerns and allow vendor access to the facility.

Can we use live candles?

  • There are no candles, live flames or fires permitted on the premises

Guest accommodations

  • There are Airbnb rentals on island and a hotel on island. Most people rent hotel rooms in Portland
